Is there a landfill or drop-off site in Coke County?
The Concho Valley regional solid waste plan lists no landfill, transfer station or citizen collection station anywhere in Coke County. The nearest landfill it lists is in San Angelo. Robert Lee is listed for paper and plastic recycling, and Bronte for wood recycling.
For a roof, a remodel or a ranch cleanup, that means every trailer load is a long drive. A roll-off saves the trips: we haul the full box to a permitted landfill, and the certified scale ticket comes with your invoice.

What storms affect Coke County?
An EF-1 tornado struck Robert Lee on May 3, 2024, during the region's May 2–4 outbreak, after two tornado warnings that afternoon. On April 1, 2024, a 71 mph gust was recorded at Fort Chadbourne in far northeast Coke County. Wind and hail drive most roof and fence cleanups here.

Does Coke County fund cleanup projects?
Coke County and Bronte both get regional solid waste grant money through the Concho Valley Council of Governments. Its December 2025 committee packet recommends $6,480 for a Coke County project in fiscal 2027 and $18,917 for a City of Bronte project in fiscal 2026. Watch for local cleanup events those funds support.
Grant-funded cleanups are usually short and limited to resident household items. A roof, a remodel or a ranch clear-out still needs a roll-off on your own schedule. Source: CVCOG SWAC meeting packet, Dec 10, 2025.
Coke County dumpster questions
What fits in a 15-yard dumpster for a cabin cleanout?
A 15-yard dumpster holds about 6 pickup loads and includes 2.5 tons, enough for the furniture and junk from a small cabin and a shed.
Can a dumpster sit on a sloped lake lot?
A roll-off needs level ground to load and pick up safely. If your lot slopes, choose a flat spot near the road and tell us when you book.
Can I put old dock lumber in the dumpster?
Dock boards, decking and rails are normal roll-off debris. Wet lumber weighs more than dry, so cover the load if rain is coming.
Is delivery available on Saturdays in Coke County?
Call to ask about the day you need. Standard deliveries run from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
How heavy is a dock tear-out from Spence or Oak Creek?
Decking and framing from a small dock usually weigh well under 2 tons dry, which fits a 10 or 15-yard dumpster. Waterlogged wood weighs much more, so let it dry in the sun before loading if you can.
