When does a Snyder job need a private roll-off?
A Snyder job needs a private roll-off when the City's free residential roll-off doesn't fit it. The City offers utility customers one free roll-off a month for personal use, but excludes contractors and refuses brick, concrete, dirt, tires, refrigerant appliances, liquids and asbestos.
| Your job | City free roll-off | Our roll-off |
|---|---|---|
| Contractor roof or remodel | Contractors excluded | 15 to 40-yard |
| Concrete, brick, dirt | Not allowed | 10 or 15-yard, half full |
| Tires, Freon appliances | Not allowed | $50 each |
| Second box this month | One per month | Book any time |

What are the Snyder Landfill's rules?
The Snyder Landfill at 3621 South FM 1673 is open weekdays 8:00 to 4:30 and the first Saturday of the month 8:00 to noon. It adds a $15 surcharge for unsecured loads, takes tires for a fee, refuses hazardous waste and requires a Freon removal certificate for appliances.
Those rules are why a roll-off is simpler for big jobs: we secure the load, and the scale ticket comes attached to your invoice. Source: City of Snyder landfill FAQ, checked Oct 21, 2026.

Call now(325) 241-7006What can't go in a Snyder city dumpster?
Snyder's residential and commercial city dumpsters can't take brush, limbs, furniture or appliances; the City sends those to the landfill or a roll-off. That leaves home cleanouts with a choice: haul it yourself, use the monthly free box, or book a private roll-off on your schedule.
Our roll-offs take furniture, limbs and appliances. Freon appliances, mattresses and tires are $50 each. Cleanout sizes.
Do you deliver to oilfield sites around Snyder?
We deliver to shops, offices and lease pads around Snyder, including the area north of town near the SACROC (Canyon Reef) oilfield, one of the largest in the United States. Drilling fluids, oily waste and contaminated soil are special waste and can't go in a roll-off.

Snyder dumpster questions
Can my roofer use the City of Snyder's free roll-off?
The City's free roll-off is for personal use by residential utility customers and excludes contractors. A hired roofer books a private roll-off.
Which size fits a 30-square roof in Snyder?
Thirty squares of one-layer asphalt shingles at 80 lb a bundle and 3 bundles a square weigh about 3.6 tons, which fits the 4 tons in a 30-yard dumpster. Use your own bundle weight in the roof calculator.
Is Snyder within your delivery range?
Snyder is at the northwest edge of our range from Abilene. Book by 3:00 PM for next-day delivery and confirm the route on the call.
Do I need to tarp the roll-off?
Our driver secures the load for the road. A tarp overnight keeps rain out, and rain adds weight you pay for at $75 per ton.
What does Snyder's city sanitation cover, and what's left for a roll-off?
Snyder's Sanitation Division collects residential city dumpsters twice a week and handles commercial and rural accounts through the Utility Dept at 325-573-4960. Residents also get one free load a month at the landfill with a utility bill. Contractor jobs, heavy debris and second boxes are where our roll-offs fit.
Snyder is a city of about 11,400 people with a busy oilfield to the north, so shop tear-outs and commercial remodels are common. For a full building demolition, the 40-yard dumpster takes the bulky debris; its included weight and days are set on your quote. Concrete and slab pieces still go in a 15-yard, filled halfway.
